RESHMA KAMATH WON A 8-0 UNANIMOUS FEDERAL JURY VERDICT WITH THREE AFRICAN-AMERICAN JURORS AND SEVEN WOMEN IN THE CALIFORNIA NORTHERN DISTRICT CASE, QUINTARA BIOSCIENCES, INC., Plaintiff, v. RUIFENG BIZTECH, INC.; GANGYOU WANG; ALAN LI; RF BIOTECH LLC, Defendants, when she was barred there in July 2023. Today, August 13, 2025, the appeal court AFFIRMED IN PART, and reversed in part the judge's decision striking trade secrets during the discovery process. The case was about whether certain client lists were trade secrets pursuant to the DEFEND TRADE SECRETS ACT (DUTSA). RESHMA KAMATH was the sole Defense Counsel, who made a compelling opening statement, and closed the case with a thought-provoking statement.
